Debby received her bachelor of science degree in nursing, with highest honors, from the University of Texas at Austin. Debby and her husband Steve enjoy their grown sons Ben and Brian, daughter-in-law Jordan, and grandson, Charlie. At home are their spoiled but lovable springer spaniels, Molly and Lucy.
Jeanne Green, MT, CD(DONA), LCCE, a Fellow of the American College of Childbirth Educators, began her career in childbirth education in 1975 as one of the first childbirth educators in the state of Arkansas. She helped to establish Prepared Childbirth, Inc., of Little Rock and became certified by ASPO/Lamaze (now Lamaze International). After moving to Texas in 1977, she founded and served as director and educator for The Family Way, Inc. Jeanne has served as Chair of the Education Council Governing Body for Lamaze International and is an instructor for the Lamaze International Labor Support Specialist, Labor Support Skills for Nurses, and Reality Birth workshops. She is co-director and instructor for the The Family Way Lamaze Childbirth Educator Program. She is also certified as a doula and as a doula trainer by DONA International. Jeanne currently teaches childbirth education classes for Presbyterian Hospital of Dallas. She has presented workshops and educational sessions for numerous groups, including Lamaze International and the International Childbirth Education Association. She holds a degree in biology from Trinity University and is registered as a medical technologist by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists. |

Debby Amis, RN, BSN, CD(DONA), LCCE , a Fellow of the American College of Childbirth Educators, is certified as a childbirth educator by Lamaze International. She has taught childbirth education classes to families in North Texas for over twenty-five years. She currently teaches early pregnancy classes for Presbyterian Hospital of Plano. A longtime volunteer with Lamaze International, Debby is a past president of the Lamaze International Board of Directors and currently serves on the Education Council Governing Body. Also certified as a doula by DONA International, Debby has served as a labor support volunteer at Parkland Memorial Hospital. She helped develop the curricula for the Lamaze International Labor Support Specialist Program, Labor Skills for Nurses, the Lamaze Childbirth Education for the 21st Century Workshop, and the Mission Possible Workshop. She is co-director and instructor for the The Family Way Lamaze Childbirth Educator Program. She has presented many workshops on childbirth education and labor support topics across the country.
