Childbirth Educator Seminars
May 2-4, 2012 Houston, Texas Texas Children's Pavilion for Women (scheduled to open Spring 2012)
The Family Way Seminar offers you 3 days of innovative teaching strategies and an update on evidence-based maternity care. Whether you are new to childbirth education or you are an experienced educator, you will gain ideas and enhance your skills to be the best teacher you can be. You may be on the path to become a Lamaze Certified Childbirth Educator, LCCE, or simply want to have fun while updating your current knowledge and gaining contact hours. You will hear the latest research, so you will be confident presenting facts in your childbirth classes. You will observe and discuss the use of PowerPoint presentations and other visual aids. Hands-on practice and group activities will help you make your classes highly interactive and fun for your students.
The Seminars are taught by Debby Amis and Jeanne Green, co-authors of Prepared Childbirth – The Family Way and Prepared Childbirth – The Educators Guide. Seminars are usually offered spring and/or fall in Texas. Debby and Jeanne can also make arrangements to travel to your hospital or group.
Our childbirth education Seminar satisfies a major step in the Lamaze educator certification program. For general information about Lamaze certification and The Family Way Program, please download The Family Way Lamaze Childbirth Educator Program brochure.
